Suzanne is a graduate of the University of British Columbia (BAPsych) and the University of Western Ontario (BScPT). She began her physiotherapy career at a sports medicine clinic in Calgary, AB where she completed her Orthopedic Manual Therapy Levels. Suzanne also completed an Advanced Manual Therapy series of courses which included the craniovertebral and TMJ regions, cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine regions as well as the treatment of muscle and neural tension. She also completed her acupuncture training (AFCI) before moving to Vancouver 5 years ago.
Since returning to Vancouver she has completed her Intramuscular Stimulation (GunnIMS) training and furthered her acupuncture training as well as courses in the prevention of running injuries. Suzanne utilizes a broad range of physiotherapy assessment and treatment techniques including manual therapy, soft tissue techniques such as myofascial release, core stability education, and designing active exercise and rehabilitation programs. She also utilizes needling techniques- acupuncture and IMS- for the treatment of chronic pain and MVA/whiplash conditions, as well as for sport injury and occupational rehabilitation.
Suzanne is an avid skier (Level 1 CSIA), long time runner and hiker, yoga enthusiast, tennis player and most recently a keen windsurfer. Her areas of special interest include the prevention of running injuries, managing chronic pain, spinal issues, core stability rehabilitation, and TMJ dysfunction.
